  4. Tim Topper says:

Thanks for a well organised race and for getting the legend that is Steve Cram to attend. Our only grumble was the race timings were out today by 14 seconds. Both myself (2nd in 35:29) and Brad Jones (3rd in 35:35) timed ourselves on our Garmins exactly 14 seconds faster. Not sure if this applied to the whole field but I imagine it will have.

  5. Carl Prewer says:

Congratulations on a very well organised race. Fantastic support all the way round the course, even the muddy bit!!

  6. Amanda Carter says:

What a brilliant day, brilliant organisation, brilliant race and brilliant competitors. I shall be back! Thanks.

  7. Sylvia dady says:

Hi, I ran in yesterday’s race but can’t find my results. I know who was before and after me because They are friends and they are on the results but I’m not!

I run for Great Yarmouth Road Runners. my bibe number was, 480.

    Thank you.

  8. Tim says:

Well done on a great race, i’ll definately be back next year.

Having Steve Cram in attendence was a great idea and created a real buzz around the place.

Not sure if anyone else has raised this but the chip times appear a little out, myself and a few people I ran with noted that the provisional time was around 20 seconds slower than our recorded time from our GPS?

  9. James says:

Great race. Great atmosphere, and briefly I got to run along side Steve Cram.

    Thanks, see you next year.

  10. Wangford Women says:

I would just like to say as others have said great race and a great atmosphere. hope to be back again next year. As to the timing I also found that my garmin time was about 20 seconds quicker that the chip time. The other strange thing was as I crossed the line the offical clock showed about the same time as my garmin.

  14. Michael Woodward says:

Thanks to all at Adnams for a well organised race!

A big thanks also to all the marshalls and volunteers who gave up their time on the day to help out.

Other than the timings being slightly out, I think things couldn’t have gone better.

I look forward to running again next year…

    Cheers,

    Mike

  15. Sheila Shead says:

Loved doing this run in lovely Southwold. My Garmin also gave me a faster time.. but hey.. I just want to thank the people who shouted my name in encouragement. I have no idea who they were or how they know me, but it got me up that last hill! See you next year….

  16. Rob M says:

Brilliant race, well organised and really enjoyed the whole event…though disappointed to be left in my brothers wake from the start!

Have only got into running during the last 2 months after getting bored with the gym and this was the second race I’ve participated in.

    Will be back next year.

    Thanks to all involved.

  17. Carl Prewer says:

Yes, I agree with Tim, my time also appears to be about 10-15 secs too slow.

  18. chris seymour says:

great race, great support, well done to everyone & finding myself on the front page of the EADT with the great Steve Cram may never be topped- looking forward to next year.

  19. sarah ackroyd says:

    Hi
thanks for a wonderful race – perfect conditons. this has to be the prettiest 10k of all times!
I don’t appear in the listing – and didn’t keep a record of my bib number – but on my gps time was 53.20. They did take down my number after I passed the finish so hopefully you might find me!
    best wishes Sarah

  20. Steven Ladhams says:

    Hi there

Great race, will definitely do next year. One thing though I can’t see my result on the timings, bib number 160, I clocked it at 39:55. I read in the information pack that you were manually recording as well, will this appear on the website?

  21. tamsin says:

A bit disappointed with chip times. I expected the times to start as we crossed the mat but there was no mat! Consequently felt my time was out by 33 seconds.

  22. Martyn Clarke says:

It was a great day for runners and supporters; such great support. Thank you.
As for the timing, well! I ran my heart out to get close to 40 minutes, finishing I thought at 40.25 – the ‘official’ time I have been given is 1hour, 1 minute and one second ……. Help!
Oh! did I mention the goody bag? One of the best ever, from the beer to the bag and detail of the medal.

  23. James says:

Chip time is also out by my recororded time. I hit the start line 10 seconds after kickoff and passed over the finish at 46.15. My chip time was 46.32

  24. Jane Shepherd says:

A very well organised event and a fantastic goody bag at the end. The only disappointment I had was with the start, as it wasnt very wide towards the harbour that this caused a bottleneck, the ground around the harbour was very hard to negotiate and wondered if the finish line could be downhill next year! Thank You

  25. Becky Lees says:

What a great race! Thanks to all the organisers and people of Southwold for cheering us all on. We’ll be back next year.

  26. Philip Neave says:

i am now in the results but bungay black dog is still omitted and my accurate time is 50.50 -still rated the run 10/10 well done.

  27. Lawrence says:

    Hi,

Thanks for organising a great event. Is there any news on when photos from the race will be available for viewing?

  28. Sean says:

    Lawrence,

Some photos from the day can be found here.

    Regards
    Sean
